I’m going on my first solo cruise next month so have been watching a lot of social media feeds for tips. It’s not my first ever cruise but last time I travelled with seasoned cruisers so I didn’t have to worry about what/when/where.
I found The Cruise Crew on TikTok courtesy of another creator and the idea of a quick snap shot of locations around my neck instead of opening my phone really appealed to me. I was slightly worried about turnaround time as my cruise is in 16 days (and counting) but Jane assured me it would arrive in time and she wasn’t wrong.
I placed the order on Sunday (23/8) evening and it arrived today (26/8), excellent service considering the cards are not just pulled out of stock but are personalised with your sail away date.
I’m not saying that I’ll cruise again (first experience wasn’t great) so this trip is the decider for me but if I ever do I’ll definitely be ordering the location card.

What a great addition to any cruise. We love cruising and this little card makes a quick reference to where you need to get to so easy. No big paper maps, no checking phones and you can have it on the lovely quality lanyard or in your pocket as it's credit card/ID card size.
The print is clear and legible, accurate for the most recent deck plans, and when I contacted them it was easy and pleasant. Would thoroughly recommend getting some of these, worth it for a little extra holiday treat and a souvenir.

You'll receive a durable plastic card, printed front and back with an index of ship facilities & venues by deck and direction and personalised with your sail date (if you have chosen this option). You will also receive a premium lanyard and two clear plastic card holders so you can keep your cruise card alongside. Your card will be printed in high contrast (white print on a black PVC card). Your items will be thoughtfully packaged in a plastic pouch and in a strong bubble mailer envelope.

Delivery & postage information
Shipping is chosen and charged at checkout: Tracked 48 £3.35 (typically 2 to 3 working days after dispatch), Tracked 24 £4.25 (typically the next working day after dispatch) or Royal Mail Special Delivery £10.75 (guaranteed before 1pm the next working day).
We process and dispatch all orders within 3 to 5 business days. Orders are sent with your chosen Royal Mail service and a dispatch confirmation with tracking reference is sent by email. Royal Mail do not guarantee Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 delivery times.
If your sail date is within 7 days, we recommend Special Delivery, the only guaranteed service. Ordering at least 10 days before your sail date is the best way to avoid disappointment.

Our Story
Born from the experience of getting lost at sea!
Ahoy there... We are Jane & Gavin, a hubby & wife team who are cruise fanatics and have set up a business around our passion, cruise holidays. We wanted to solve one common problem onboard a cruise ship. Let’s face it, we all love the excitement of a forthcoming cruise, perhaps even more so when there's a brand new ship to explore. However, navigating your way around a ship can lead to stepping out of lifts and heading aft instead of forward or being on the wrong deck completely! Jane often refers to this as the ‘walk of shame’ when greeting fellow passengers a second time as we head back in the correct direction.
As Gavin is partially sighted, locating physical deck-plans and signage onboard in busy lift areas can be more difficult, but also not always easy for anyone at times. How much easier would it be to have a concise index list on a card of all the facilities & venues onboard, by category, by deck and by direction, that you popped in an extra card holder on your lanyard alongside your cruise card? At The Cruise Crew, we do just that.
We give you all the information you need, within easy reach and accessible for all. Which cruise lines are available?
We currently have Ship Index Cards available for 23 cruise lines including P&O Cruises, MSC Cruises, Marella Cruises, Virgin Voyages, Princess Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Cunard, Norwegian Cruise Line, Carnival, Holland America and many more. Email office@thecruisecrew.co.uk if the ship you are sailing on is not listed.
What does 'personalised with my sail date' mean?
Every index card we print includes your specific sail date alongside your ship name. This means the card becomes a keepsake after your adventure. This bespoke offering is unique to The Cruise Crew. If you would prefer a card without a date, simply tick this box when ordering.
How does the Ship Index Card work?
Each index card is printed for your chosen ship using current information, categorised to ensure you find what you need swiftly. Every entry shows deck number and AFT/MID/FWD. Are all your 250+ ships curated and ready for dispatch?
No. Curating ships is a constant process and at the core of what we do. Occasionally we may have several orders for ships that need curating. Should this happen, we will contact you and let you know if there is likely to be a delay to your order. In this situation, we will prioritise orders in accordance with sail dates.
How much is delivery and how long does it take?
Shipping is chosen and charged at checkout. You’ll choose from:
Tracked 48: £3.35 (typically 2 to 3 working days after dispatch)
Tracked 24: £4.25 (typically the next working day after dispatch)
Royal Mail Special Delivery: £10.75 (guaranteed before 1pm the next working day)

Is a card available without a lanyard?
Yes. If you’re a returning customer or would prefer to use your own lanyard, you can choose our card-only option.
Our cards are designed to be used with a lanyard, making them easy to access and always kept within reach. The card-only option is £8.99. Whilst the saving is modest, it reduces unnecessary waste if you already have a suitable lanyard. The saving is modest because the real value of our product lies in the research, collection and careful curation of the information on each card, rather than the physical card itself.
My ship isn't listed, what do I do?
Simply send us an email to office@thecruisecrew.co.uk and we will endeavour to assist.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Absolutely. It makes a brilliant pre-holiday present and the personalised sail date makes it feel genuinely considered rather than generic. Simply enter the recipient’s ship and sail date when you order. If the holiday is for a specific celebration, we can try to accommodate with a brief acknowledgement i.e. ‘Honeymoon 2027’ or ‘Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary’ though this cannot be guaranteed.
How accurate is the data on the card?
We research every ship using the cruise line’s official data, two specialist cruise databases, Wet & Dry-Dock Schedules and verification against onboard video footage (a process that can take in excess of 6 hours). That said, cruise lines can change venue names or relocate facilities at any time (see disclaimer).
What is your returns policy?
Each card is personalised to your ship and sail date, so returns cannot be accepted once production has begun. If your order arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect we will always replace or refund it. Email office@thecruisecrew.co.uk within 14 days of receipt.
How is my personal data handled?
Your name, email, delivery address, ship name and sail date are used solely to process and fulfil your order. We don’t sell or share your data with third parties. Payment is handled by Shopify's secure checkout and we never see your card details. Full details in our Privacy Policy in the footer.
Can I choose my lanyard colour or style?
Lanyard colours are chosen at random and are subject to availability. We
cannot guarantee a specific colour, but all lanyards are of high quality.
Do you ever run out of room on the cards?
That’s a great question! Occasionally, some ships can be very challenging. For some of the huge ships like Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class for example, you may find two listings (for travelling with or without children), this way we can ensure the card lists all the information YOU need.
* For Royal Caribbean Icon Class ships, we cannot guarantee sail date personalisation due to the sheer content of information on the cards.
